Through visits and research from all parties, the company purchased our MW micro powder mill production line for processing carbon black after tire cracking.

Scrap tire carbon black powder production process

Waste tires are broken into 0-20mm fragments by shredders, and then enter cracking furnaces. Through high-temperature cracking, the tires are split into oil gas, and carbon black. The carbon black will be spirally cooled and transported to the bucket before the micro-powder mill. After passing through an iron remover, it will be lifted to the buffer silo and fed to the micro-powder mill by a sealed spiral for grinding. After the finished powder comes out, it is transported to the finished product silo at the rear, stirred and granulated, and then dried. After drying and screening, the particles of qualified fineness will be packaged in the final finished product silo, and the unqualified ones will be returned for re-grinding.

Equipment selection and advantages

MW series ring roller micro powder mill, also known as medium speed micro powder mill and ring roller mill, is a processing equipment specially developed by Liming Heavy Industry based on nearly 40 years of mill R&D and manufacturing experience, which is used for the production of ultrafine powder and micro powder.

This series of powder grinding equipment has comprehensive mechanical crushing performance such as impact, roller pressing and grinding. It can be widely used in chemical industry, metallurgy, non-metallic minerals, new energy negative electrode materials and other industries. It is especially suitable for ultrafine crushing of minerals with Mohs hardness below 7 and water content less than 6% such as calcite, limestone, marble, heavy calcium quicklime, talc, dolomite, barite, mica, graphite, petroleum coke, carbon black, etc. It is an ideal mineral deep processing equipment.

There are no rolling bearings and screws in the grinding chamber, which avoids the problem of bearing wear and loose screws that damage the equipment.

2. Advanced and stable transmission

The reducer transmission device is adopted, which is more stable and efficient than the traditional belt transmission.

3. Accurate particle size control

The new high-efficiency cage powder selector is adopted, with frequency conversion control, convenient particle size adjustment, accurate cutting particle size, and the final fineness of the finished product can reach D97≤5um at one time.

4. Low wear and excellent quality

High-quality wear-resistant parts, adopting the material layer grinding mechanism, small wear, effectively reducing the pollution during material processing, and ensuring the quality of the finished product.

Working principle of MW micro powder mill

The main motor drives the main shaft and each layer of the turntable to rotate through the reducer. The turntable drives dozens of ring rollers to roll and rotate in the grinding ring roller through the pins. After the large pieces of material are crushed into small particles by the crusher, they are sent to the storage bin by the elevator. The feeding equipment such as the electromagnetic vibrating feeder or the belt conveyor evenly sends the material to the middle of the upper turntable. Under the action of centrifugal force, the material is scattered around the turntable and falls into the roller of the grinding ring. It is pressed, rolled, and ground by the ring roller layer by layer. Finally, the crushed material is brought into the powder selector for sorting under the action of wind. The qualified fine powder is discharged from the mill with the air flow and collected by the dust collector as the finished product. The unqualified material falls back into the grinding chamber under the action of the powder selector and is re-ground with the newly fed material. This cycle completes the whole grinding process. The airflow with a small amount of fine dust is purified by the pulse dust collector and discharged through the fan and muffler.
