Production process of graphite products

Input the petroleum coke to a rotary kiln or resistance furnace and heat to 1200-1350°C in an air-isolated condition to remove its moisture and volatile matter and improve its density and conductivity.

The grinding process is also crucial. The fineness distribution of the products after grinding and the purity of the finished powder will affect the quality of graphite products. In the grinding process, the calcined petroleum coke is generally crushed and ground through a crusher and a mill to obtain petroleum coke fine powder with size of 200 mesh.

Mix petroleum coke powder and binder (such as asphalt, coal tar, etc.) evenly in a certain proportion to form a green body with a certain shape and mechanical strength, and then put it into a roasting furnace and heat it to 1000°C under air-isolated conditions. -1200℃ to carbonize the binder to obtain roasted products.

The roasted product is put into the autoclave, and the liquid impregnating agent is pressed into the pores of the roasted product. The impregnation needs to be repeated 2 to 3 times. Finally, it enters the graphitization furnace and is converted into graphite through high-temperature heat treatment at 2800-3000°C. Crystalline structure, thereby obtaining graphite products with high purity and high conductivity.
