Working Principle
The main motor drives the millstone to rotate through the reduction box, meanwhile, the air flow gets into the mill through air intake. The materials come out of the screw feeder and fall on the center of the millstone, and then they will move from the center to the edge of the millstone under the effect of centrifugal force. When they move across the grinding zone, they will get grinded by the rollers.

Its adjustable fineness ranges from 325 mesh to 2500 mesh, D97 down to 6‑8.5 μm, controlled by multi‑rotor classifier. Higher classifier speed delivers finer powder. Actual fineness is affected by material hardness, feed moisture, feeding rate and system air volume. It supports fast fineness switching for both ordinary fine powder and high‑end ultra‑fine fillers.
What consequences will occur if oversized lumps are directly fed into LUM ultrafine vertical roller mill?
Oversized lumps break stable material bed on grinding table, sharply increase main‑unit load and trigger violent vibration. Local impact wear on roller sleeves and table liners accelerates. Output drops and powder particle size fluctuates. Severe cases bring overload alarm or unexpected shutdown. Upstream crushing equipment must be deployed to strictly control feed lump size.

The whole line adopts fully‑closed negative‑pressure circulation with pulse bag‑house dust collector for fugitive‑dust capture. Regular filter‑bag cleaning maintains dust‑removal efficiency; workshop enclosure further improves site environmental performance.
Is drying function optional for the LUM ultrafine vertical roller mill?
LUM mill is equipped with built‑in hot‑air drying. Hot‑air enters from grinding‑table bottom to realize simultaneous grinding and drying for feed moisture ≤3%. Hot‑air system can be upgraded for higher‑moisture raw materials without separate dryer. For extremely wet feed, independent pre‑drying equipment can be added to bring moisture into target range and prevent sticking and blockage failures.
