LM Vertical Mill: A Safe Foundation for Grinding Excellence
Backed by nearly 40 years of experience in grinding equipment R&D and manufacturing, Liming Heavy Industry's LM Vertical Coal Mill clean coal powder preparation system integrates crushing, grinding, drying, and classification into one through innovative process design, achieving efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly full-process production from raw material to finished product. The equipment is innovatively equipped with "five-level safety explosion-proof measures," establishing a fire and explosion protection system covering the entire area, the whole process, and all monitoring points, providing comprehensive guarantees for the safe and stable operation of the system.


Raw coal is screened through a grid sieve from the raw coal yard and then conveyed to a steep-angle belt conveyor or elevator. After iron removal by an electromagnetic iron remover, the raw coal is transported to the raw coal silo for storage via the belt conveyor or elevator. Once all systems of the powder preparation line are started, the rod valve at the bottom of the raw coal silo is opened, and the sealed metering belt coal feeder is activated to feed the raw coal into the vertical coal mill for drying and grinding.
Hot air or waste gas from the hot blast stove is drawn into the vertical coal mill by the system fan. After sufficient heat exchange with the ground raw coal inside the mill, the air stream carries the coal powder to the separator for classification. Coarse coal powder that fails to meet the fineness requirement falls back onto the mill disc for re-grinding, while qualified coal powder is collected by the explosion-proof pulse jet bag filter along with the air flow and discharged into the coal powder silo through the rotary airlock valve.
Impurities in the raw coal, such as some gangue and metal blocks, are discharged out of the mill through the air ring and slag discharge port. Throughout the entire process, an online CO-O₂ analysis system is installed. When processing coal with high volatility, safety measures such as nitrogen protection and an automatic CO₂ fire extinguishing system can be configured.
