Nickel slag is the solid waste generated from smelting nickel iron, therefore nickel slag is also known as nickel iron slag. Due to the limitations of nickel iron smelting technology, nickel slag contains a certain amount of nickel iron. After using vertical grinding to grind nickel slag into micro powder, it is beneficial to recover nickel iron and obtain considerable economic benefits; At the same time, the screened finished micro powder is added to cement to form composite cement, which can greatly increase economic benefits and waste resource utilization, reduce the occupation of land and environmental pollution caused by these waste residues.
The main nickel slag vertical mill, also known as vertical roller mill, used in the nickel slag grinding micro powder process is a mechanical equipment device that grinds nickel slag through the relative movement between the grinding roller and the grinding disc based on the principle of material bed grinding. It integrates processes such as crushing, grinding, drying, and powder selection, and has a compact structure. It is composed of components such as transmission device, grinding disc device, grinding roller device, rocker arm device, frame, air inlet duct, middle shell, separator, operating platform, pressure device roll flipping device, lubrication system, etc.
The working principle of the vertical mill used in the nickel slag grinding micro powder process is that the material falls into the center of the grinding disc through a conveyor belt and a spiral feeder. The grinding disc rotates under the driving device, and under the centrifugal force, the material is evenly dispersed and flattened outward, forming a material bed. The grinding roller is pressed onto the material under the action of a pressure device and continuously compacted. At the edge of the grinding disc, the material is thrown out of the grinding disc, and a part of it is sent to the separator for sorting through the hot gas entering the mill through the air ring. During this process, the material undergoes sufficient heat exchange with the hot gas, and the moisture is quickly evaporated. The fineness of the finished product is controlled by adjusting the speed of the separator rotor. Unqualified materials are sent back to the grinding disc for further grinding. Another part of the coarse particles fall off and are fed out of the mill through the scraping device, and then re fed into the mill for grinding through the conveying and lifting devices. This cycle completes the entire grinding process.
