The project adopts the internationally advanced OxygenEnriched Side Blowing Furnace (OESBF) smelting technology. Using laterite nickel ore as raw material, it implements an integrated process of “Drying – OxygenEnriched Side Blowing – Nickel Matte Extraction”, which greatly reduces comprehensive energy consumption and carbon emissions per ton of nickel.

This breaks the international monopoly pattern of nickel resources and sets a new green benchmark for the development of laterite nickel ore with a lowcarbon smelting model.

As a core technology for green transformation, oxygen-enriched side-blowing smelting of laterite nickel ore imposes stringent requirements on the coal powder preparation process.
