Granite grinding process flow
Granite grinding powder is widely used in fields such as architecture, interior decoration, artificial stone, ceramics, etc. It can be used to manufacture building materials such as granite flooring, walls, and countertops, and can also be used as a raw material for artificial stone to produce various granite textured products. The following are several steps in the granite grinding process:
Mineral processing: Select suitable granite ore based on production needs, grinding particle size, and ore characteristics.
Ore crushing: Crush the selected granite ore to make its particles smaller for subsequent processing.
Grinding: The ore is gradually ground into powder by impact, compression, and friction in the grinding machine. Grinding machines usually use equipment such as ball mills and vertical powder mills.
Powder classification: After the grinding process of the grinding machine, the obtained granite grinding powder may have different particle sizes. In order to achieve consistent particle size, graded screening is required. Usually, equipment such as vibrating screens and air flow classifiers are used for screening.
Drying: Dry the screened granite powder to remove moisture and improve its stability and quality. Common drying equipment includes rotary dryers, tubular dryers, etc.
Packaging and storage:
Grinding powder packaging: The dried granite grinding powder is packaged according to certain specifications, usually in bags or in bulk.
Grinding powder storage: Store the packaged granite grinding powder in a suitable environment to prevent moisture and pollution.
