Introduction to Bentonite Powder Production Process
Bentonite is a water-based clay mineral mainly composed of montmorillonite, which can be divided into sodium based bentonite and calcium based bentonite. Due to its various special properties, it is known as the "universal" clay and can be used as a binder, suspension agent, filler, catalyst, etc. It is widely used in fields such as oil extraction, directional crossing, steel casting, metallurgical pellets, chemical coatings, etc.
Bentonite powder production is generally divided into four types: coarse powder processing (0-3mm), fine powder processing (20-400 mesh), ultrafine powder processing (400-1250 mesh), and micro powder processing (1250-3250 mesh).
Phase 1: Crush large chunks of bentonite through a crusher to a feed fineness (15mm-50mm) that can enter the grinding machine.
The second stage: The small pieces of bentonite after grinding and crushing are sent to the material bin by the elevator, and then uniformly and quantitatively sent to the grinding chamber of the grinding machine for grinding by the vibrating feeder. Fine powder processing can choose LM vertical roller mill, MTW European version mill, 5X European version intelligent mill; MW ring roller micro powder mill and LUM ultra-fine vertical mill can be selected for ultra-fine powder processing; CM European coarse powder grinding can be used for rough powder processing.
The third stage: The bentonite powder after graded grinding is graded by a powder selection machine, and the unqualified powder is graded by the powder selection machine and returned to the main mill for re grinding.
Stage 4: Bentonite powder that meets the fineness requirements is collected through a pipeline and enters the dust collector for separation and collection. The collected finished powder is transported to the finished material bin by a conveying device through the discharge port, and then packaged uniformly using a powder loading tanker or an automatic packaging machine.
