What is lepidolite?
Lepidolite is a basic aluminosilicate of potassium and lithium. It is mainly found in pegmatite, also in greisen and high-temperature hydrothermal veins. Lepidolite is a mineral raw material for extracting lithium. If it contains rubidium and cesium, it can be comprehensively utilized. Lepidolite can be used as glass raw material and ceramics. It also can be used as a flux for chemical books.
Lithium extracted from lepidolite has a wide range of uses. On the one hand, it is an important fuel for hydrogen bombs, rockets, nuclear submarines and new jet aircraft. On the other hand, it can be used as a control rod in an atomic reactor. Moreover, lithium can be used as a red luminescent agent for signal bombs and lighting bombs in military affairs, and a thick lubricant for aircraft. In metallurgy, it is made of lithium light alloy and a purifying agent for metal products.
There are generally three types of lepidolite grinding process: lepidolite coarse powder processing (0-3mm), fine powder processing (20 mesh - 400 mesh), and lepidolite ultra-fine powder deep processing (400 mesh - 3250 mesh).
