Working principle of slag vertical mill

The slag vertical mill is a negative pressure air swept grinding equipment that dries the slag and grinds it. LM slag vertical mill is a specialized equipment for grinding industrial waste into powder. It integrates crushing, conveying, grinding, and drying, making it an ideal equipment for producing slag micro powder.

During operation, the main motor drives the grinding disc to rotate through the reducer, while hot air enters the vertical mill body from the air inlet. The material falls into the center of the grinding disc from the discharge port, and under the action of centrifugal force, the material moves uniformly from the center of the grinding disc to the edge. When passing through the grinding roller area on the grinding disc, it is crushed by the grinding rollers, and large pieces of material are directly crushed. Fine materials are compressed to form a material bed for inter particle crushing. The crushed material continues to move towards the edge of the grinding disc until it is carried away by the strong airflow at the wind ring, and larger particle materials fall back onto the grinding disc to continue crushing. When the material in the airflow passes through the upper separator, under the action of the rotor blades, the coarse particles return to the grinding disc for grinding. Qualified fine powder is discharged with the airflow and collected by the system's powder collector. The collected powder is the product produced by the vertical grinding. When iron blocks and other debris mixed with the material move to the edge of the grinding disc, due to their heavy weight, they cannot be blown up by the wind and fall into the lower chamber of the mill. The scraper plate installed at the bottom of the grinding disc scrapes them into the slag discharge port and discharges them outside the machine.
