Introduction

Prebaked anodes are manufactured using petroleum coke and pitch coke as aggregates, with coal tar pitch as a binder. They are mainly used as anode materials for prebaked aluminum electrolytic cells. Since these carbon blocks have undergone calcination and feature a stable geometric shape, they are also called prebaked anode carbon blocks.

Prebaked anodes are crucial materials in the aluminum smelting industry. Approximately 600 kilograms of prebaked anodes are required to produce 1 ton of aluminum, meaning their consumption is extremely high during the electrolytic aluminum production process.
